In our workshop, we are equipped to assemble our own automation and power supply cabinets (MCCs) in a professional manner.
After building the cabinets in our workshop, our installation team head to the construction site. The installation is often carried out by our own staff. Our engineers are equipped with all the necessary tools, have followed training programmes and have the experience to be able to carry out this installation work, including testing and commissioning this type of work, in a professional manner. They also hold certificates for Asbestos Recognition and First Aid.

Powerspex is a group of approximately 70 staff members, of which approximately 1/3 are practically skilled employees. In our workshop, we are equipped to assemble our own control and low voltage distribution cabinets (MCCs) in a professional manner.
Engineering and construction work alongside each other, which means that we are able to continuously monitor and supervise the quality and progress. In this way, we are able to quickly respond to needs and planning issues, and complete our turnkey projects.
We have noticed that our quality is better than when we outsource the work. Our workshop is also ATEX certified and has the required test equipment.
In addition, we are aware that we have high quality and very enthusiastic staff. Young employees are trained in practice and develop into experienced members of staff, from both a practical and an engineering point of view.
On the construction site, everything is assembled and connected by our own staff. Our installation team members hold a personal IECEx 05 certificate, and our staff and company also hold the required VCA**, First Aid and professional certificates.
Based on our years of experience, we are able to manage very complex construction sites. We have construction site leaders who manage large constructions for electrical systems and instrumentation. In the course of the years, we have developed a program showing the progress of the various activities, such as installing the cable ducts and instrumentation, connecting the instrumentation, installing, connecting and testing the wiring, and various completion protocols.
Example projects: Enecogen 2 – the installation of measurement and control equipment, including the wiring and connecting of two systems with a total electric capacity of 870 MW. Turnaround time: 7 months on site and 7 months of preparation; NUON, District Heating System Utrecht – rewiring 11 local systems and connecting them to the central unit. For this, a fibre optic network with all the additional engineering was installed; Biomass Fermentation Projects for HoSt: – the installation of the E&I for various biomass fermentation projects in the Netherlands and abroad. These systems have approximately 500 to 1000 I/O points.
A large number of our technicians specialise in the installation of instrumentation. We have experience in the various installation methods of water, steam, air and flue gas measurement. The installation of expansion bellows in high temperature impulse lines requires an understanding of and experience with the systems, as well as achieving the right slope of the lines.
We are experienced in relatively small to very large projects in which coordination, monitoring and organisational capacity play an important role.
Examples of large projects are: Enecogen, Pego Portugal, Mugaizna.
Besides installing and connecting instrumentation, our technicians have experience in wiring and connecting the electrical supply of instrumentation. Smaller projects are often carried out by a Powerspex team. For larger projects, we provide site management and carry out the work together with other companies. We have international experience and partners with which these projects are carried out.
