When completing a project testing, commissioning and service play an important role. The engineering is finished with a FAT, in which the work of the cabinet builder and the software engineer are checked based on an Inspection Test Plan (ITP).

The installation team on site is obliged to complete its work with a successful cable or loop test, after which the software engineer will test the functionality in the field and commission the system together with the builder of the process. If the customer does not have specific requirements, we base the testing and commissioning of our work on the EN standard.

We are able to test our software projects for almost 100% during the engineering tests because we are able to model each process. This allows us to carry out optimisations and improvements, for which there is often no time in practice or which are impossible afterwards.

Factory Acceptance Test
In our workshop, we have a specially equipped test room where the control cabinets can be commissioned. The automation system can be fully tested for functionality by connecting the system to a simulator, or, in the conventional way, by connecting all inputs and outputs to potentiometers, switches, indicators and lights. After a successful test, a protocol is drawn up and everything is prepared for dispatch.

Site Acceptance Test / Site Integration Test
Upon receipt on site (SAT), the automation system is installed and connected on site, after which the SIT in accordance with the EN standards is carried out.

Following the SAT, loop tests are carried out. In addition to checking the electrical loop, our technicians are able to test the instrumentation and configure or calibrate the system. We have all the required knowledge and test equipment to do this.

During testing and commissioning, we use test equipment such as pressure and temperature calibration systems, our knowledge of the required instrumentation, pressure pumps to test the process connections, emission measurement equipment, etc.

For the calibration we use Intecal or Beamex CMS.

15% of our work consists of service and maintenance work, and customers often make use of the expertise of PowerspeX to find solutions for faults occurring in a system. We currently coordinate the shutdown, carry out the required calibrations, coordinate periodic inspections and take care of the reporting for a dozen systems.
