Modernization

PowerspeX is an independent multidisciplinary supplier that realizes the modernization of the control and automation (i.e. starting, stopping and logging data) of your energy system, from feasibility study to the engineering, installation and commissioning.

Why is modernization desirable or even necessary?

• Susceptibility of the plant in cases of error
• Lack of availability of components such as old (analogue) systems / sensors
• Stringent environmental, safety and ergonomics require more functionality and accuracy of the transmitters and control systems
• Altered operating process for e.g. faster start-up of the plant or different loads
• Automated start / stop of the energy system with visualisation and remote control
• Integration of system maintenance including remote monitoring and fault messages

Energy systems have an average lifespan of about 25 years. Still, there are plenty of companies operate their energy systems for more than 35 years! Upgrading an existing energy system prolongs its lifetime.

Remote control and visualization
The system can easily be equipped with a Web client with SCADA-applications. This allows remote monitoring of power, gas energy serving balance, but also water usage. In addition, changes in configuration and set points and even remote control can be implemented. In practice it turns out that these available data is of great value for maintenance purposes and the process knowledge of operators will increase.
